 Mayor Annisul passes away

Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq died Thursday at a hospital in London, where he had been under treatment for around four months following sudden illness on tour, media reports said.

The city corporation in a media statement said the mayor died at Wellington Hospital at 10:23pm BdST on the day.

The statement said his body will be flown to Dhaka on Saturday morning.

He would be buried at Banani Graveyard after funeral prayers at the Army Stadium the same day, the city corporation said.

It also urged the people to pray for the peace of the departed soul.e
