He was made to do it.                    English Language Tips 2: Write `law-and-order situation`, NOT `law and order situation`, When you write simply `law land order`, there is no need for using hyphen, as there is no need to make it a compound word. In the first instance, law-and-order is made into a compound word to create an adjective to qulify the noun situation. In the second, the phrase law and order is not followed by any such NP and so you need not use such hyphenated compound as adjective.                    English Language Tips 1: Write `adviser to the prime minister`, NOT `adviser of the prime minister`.                    Write `adviser of the government`, NOT `adviser to the government`.

Education writer

Tradition-rich Taherpur High School scored an all-pass success at this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination.

All the 105 candidates who sat for the exam from this school in Rajshahi district came out successful, 20 of them achieving GPA-5 distinction, headmaster Ataur Rahman said.

Established by the local Rajas, this school boasts of having two renowned head teachers—Noor Muhammad Khan and late Narayan Chandra Saha—who, with their enviable knowledge and capabilities, lifted this institution into a position of prestige.

A galaxy of bright stars have so far come out of this school in its over six-decade lifespan.

The present teaching staff as well as their students took a resolve to carry and build on the success they showed in 2015 in tune with the top position Rajshahi education board secured with highest pass percentage of 94.07.
