He was made to do it.                    English Language Tips 2: Write `law-and-order situation`, NOT `law and order situation`, When you write simply `law land order`, there is no need for using hyphen, as there is no need to make it a compound word. In the first instance, law-and-order is made into a compound word to create an adjective to qulify the noun situation. In the second, the phrase law and order is not followed by any such NP and so you need not use such hyphenated compound as adjective.                    English Language Tips 1: Write `adviser to the prime minister`, NOT `adviser of the prime minister`.                    Write `adviser of the government`, NOT `adviser to the government`.

Arson: Arrest warrant for Selima, 13 others

A Dhaka court Thursday issued arrest warrant against 14 persons, including ex-state minister and BNP Vice-chairman Selima Rahman, in an arson-attack case filed last year.

The warranted also include Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas and Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel, personal assistant and press secretary to BNP Chairperson and ex-PM Khaleda Zia respectively.

After accepting the charges against 20 persons, including the 14, Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah of the Metropolitan Session Judge’s Court of Dhaka passed the order.

The court directed officer-in-charge (OC) of Pallabi Police Station to submit a report on execution of the arrest warrant by November 2.

In the case, BNP leader Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia and four others are now on bail while BNP Sr Joint Secretary-General Rizvi is in jail.

On February 2, 2015, a vehicle was set on fire in front of Appayan Community Centre in Pallabi of Mirpur during non-stop blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance over the issue of last general election.
