He was made to do it.                    English Language Tips 2: Write `law-and-order situation`, NOT `law and order situation`, When you write simply `law land order`, there is no need for using hyphen, as there is no need to make it a compound word. In the first instance, law-and-order is made into a compound word to create an adjective to qulify the noun situation. In the second, the phrase law and order is not followed by any such NP and so you need not use such hyphenated compound as adjective.                    English Language Tips 1: Write `adviser to the prime minister`, NOT `adviser of the prime minister`.                    Write `adviser of the government`, NOT `adviser to the government`.

BNP motorcade bound for Rangamati attacked in Ctg

The motorcade of a BNP team led by Secretary-General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was attacked in Chittagong on their way to Rangamati Sunday to meet local people affected by landslides, party sources said and blamed local ruling-party supporters for the incident.

Senior BNP leader Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, who was accompanying Fakhrul, said they were attacked around 10:30am in Rangunia Upazila.

He said both he and Fakhrul were injured in the attack.

In an instant protest, BNP activists staged demonstrations in the capital some other parts of the country and the party called countrywide protests for Monday.

Ruling Awami League general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader denounced the attack and said the perpetrators, whoever may be, would be brought to justice.
